This was the blog project that started everything. At some point in early July, a Twitter conversation about the nature of design led to four very distinct opinions and definitions that couldn’t be condensed into 140 characters.
We took on a question for the ages that day, a question that doesn’t have a correct answer by the way. On the morning when these What is Design posts went live, they spawned a series of conversations in our respective comments sections and on Twitter that went on for days. Clearly, we’d hit a nerve.
So what is design? Four of us from very different backgrounds and lines of work each took a stab at an answer. What do you think? What is design?
